Smiling Pottery is inspired by my work as a clown in hospitals. As an art therapist Clown Care is my focus. I have been working in hospitals with all sorts of folk for the last 20 years and spreading cheers is energizing!
My love for the circus arts captured me as a very young child. I love the tension of the daring, silly and unusual, and whenever I walk into a circus tent I simply smile! And this is why my Smiling Pottery aims at spreading that joy, creativity and cheerfulness to mundane activities such as cooking, eating or other menial household chores. It makes it pleasant and gives a "joie de vivre", an exultation of spirit! And that is fun...
